Privacy Policy

FlipTCG — Last updated: 24 April 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how FlipTCG ("we", "our", "the app") handles information when you use our mobile application. FlipTCG is a price tracker for collectible trading card games, distributed on Android through the Google Play Store.

1. Information we do not collect

FlipTCG has no user accounts, no login, and no registration. We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, or any other personal identifier. We do not collect contacts, photos, files, microphone, camera, or precise location.

2. Information collected by third-party advertising (AdMob)

FlipTCG displays advertisements through Google AdMob, a service provided by Google LLC. To serve ads and measure ad performance, AdMob and its partners automatically collect certain information from your device, including:

Advertising ID (Android Advertising ID / AAID) — a resettable identifier managed by Google Play Services.
IP address and approximate (non-precise) geographic region derived from it.
Device information (device model, operating system version, language, time zone).
Ad interactions (impressions, clicks, and in-app events tied to ad delivery).

This data is processed by Google under its own privacy policy. FlipTCG does not receive the raw data; we only receive aggregated revenue reports. Google uses this data for ad delivery, ad measurement, fraud prevention, and (subject to your consent) ad personalization. 3. Consent (EEA, UK, Switzerland)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you will see a consent prompt the first time you open the app, presented through Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP). You may choose to allow personalized ads, accept non-personalized ads only, or manage vendor preferences. You can revisit this choice at any time by clearing the app's data or using the "Privacy settings" option in the app once we ship it.

4. Consent and rights (California and other US states)

If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, or another US state with a privacy law, you have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information for targeted advertising, as those terms are defined under applicable law. AdMob respects these signals automatically based on your device's region. You may also limit ad tracking at the OS level via Settings → Privacy → Ads → Delete advertising ID on Android.

5. Card price data

FlipTCG shows card prices aggregated from public third-party sources:

Scryfall (Magic: The Gathering)
TCGCSV / TCGplayer (North American prices)
Pokémon TCG API (Pokémon)
YGOPRODeck (Yu-Gi-Oh!)
Cardmarket (European prices)
Lorcast (Disney Lorcana)

These prices are stored in our backend database (Supabase) as public market data only, with no association to any user or device.

6. Local storage on your device

The app uses local storage on your device (SharedPreferences) to remember small preferences such as whether you have completed onboarding. This data never leaves your device.

7. Data retention

Because we do not collect personal data, there is nothing for us to retain. Data processed by Google AdMob is retained according to Google's Privacy Policy.

8. Data deletion request

FlipTCG does not require an account and does not store personal identifiers on our servers. You can clear the small amount of data associated with your use of the app as follows:

In-app data (alerts, preferences): any price alerts you create can be removed from inside the app. Uninstalling the app also clears its local storage on your device.
Advertising ID (AdMob): reset or delete your Advertising ID via Settings → Privacy → Ads on Android. Google will issue a new anonymous ID and disassociate the previous one from your profile.
Server-side deletion request: if you have enabled price alerts and want us to delete the associated device token from our backend, email fliptcg.contact@gmail.com with the subject "Data deletion request". We will remove any record associated with your device token within 30 days and reply to confirm.

9. Children

FlipTCG is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. The app is rated for a general audience, but because it displays advertising it is not intended for children under the minimum age required by applicable law in your region (13 in the US; 16 in most of the EEA).

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when we add new features or integrations. The "Last updated" date at the top of this document will always reflect the current version. Material changes will be surfaced in-app when possible.
